Q:

If a person leaves multiple wills, how do you they know which one is valid?

A:

If a person leaves multiple properly executed wills, the most recent one should be the valid one. A subsequent will likely revokes all prior wills so even though the person left multiple wills, only the most recent one should be valid. On the other hand, if the most recent will is determined to be invalid for any reason, the prior one would not have been revoked and it should control.
