Terms of Rental

Here is a summary of our standard Terms and Conditions that form a part of our Safe Deposit Box Rental Agreement.

1. Rental of the Box    

After Vault@268 has received full payment of the Rent, Administration Fees and Deposit, Vault@268 shall loan to the Customer one (1) Access Card, and two (2) Keys for the purpose of Access to the Box as set out in Clause 6(e) below. For the avoidance of doubt, the Card and the Keys shall at all times remain the property of Vault@268 and the Customer shall return them to Vault@268 immediately upon demand or upon the termination of this Agreement, whichever is the earlier.  

 

Vault@268 may at any time, without prior notice, as it may think fit and without assigning any reason therefore, cancel the Card and/or change the locks assigned to the Keys. Upon the termination of this Agreement, the Customer shall immediately return the Card and the two (2) Keys to Vault@268.

   

 2. Contents of the box       

Subject to a duly executed Form W1, the Customer acknowledges that Vault@268 has no knowledge of the Contents of the Box rented by the Customer at all material times (even if the Customer has notified Vault@268 of the Contents, Vault@268 will reject/delete, and not take note of such notifications). The Customer therefore agrees to be fully responsible and liable for all items placed into the Box by Customer, and will fully indemnify Vault@268 for all damages, losses, expense and claims as may be suffered by Vault@268 arising directly or indirectly from the Customer’s use and Access of the Box, including but not limited to third party claims, and legal fees on a solicitor and client costs-basis.    


3. Use           

The Customer shall not use or permit the Box to be used for the deposit of:-   

(1) Any liquid, contraband or perishable substance; or    

(2) Anything of an explosive, dangerous, offensive or hazardous nature; or    

(3) Any property the possession of which is prohibited by the laws Singapore; or    

(4) Any item that may become a nuisance to Vault@268 or to any of Vault@268's other customers or to any tenant of the building in which Vault@268 and/or the Box is located; or      

(5) Anything for an illegal or improper purpose; or  

(6) Any items weighing cumulatively more than 30kg; or for any purpose other than the deposit of securities, documents, valuables, and other like property.      

 

 4. Access to box           

(a) Except as pursuant to Section 7 below, Vault@268 shall not be required to provide Access to the Box to anyone other than to the Customer or Customer's Legal Representative.   

(b) Vault@268 may at its discretion deny Access to the Box to a Legal Representative of the Customer if Customer is a company, partnership or other organization unless Vault@268 has on file a copy of a resolution duly executed by the Customer authorising such Legal Representative to have such Access.     

 

5. Confidentiality and Personal Data    

Customer and Vault@268 shall each treat as confidential all information of the other which comes into its possession, pursuant to or as a result of or in the performance of this Agreement, including but not limited to information that relates to Personal Data, pricing of Rent and other services, business methods, operational procedures, financial, marketing or technical information. ("Confidential Information").

 

6. Termination    

The Customer may, at his sole discretion, terminate this Agreement at any time by giving Vault@268 one (1) month’s prior notice in writing. (please contact us for more details)

 

7. Death    

In the event of the death of the Customer, the administrator or executor of his/her estate may on production of the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration and by complying with such procedures as may be prescribed by Vault@268 from time to time have Access to the Box and remove all the Contents contained therein. This Agreement shall be deemed to be terminated immediately thereafter and all provisions pertaining to termination shall apply.
